PETER PAUL MAYE, KILMAINE

Peter Paul Maye, formerly of Kilkerin, Kilmaine. Peter passed away peacefully at Corrandulla Nursing Home on January 4, 2022.

Pre-deceased by his brothers Seamus, Mick, Luke, Mattie and Vincent and by his sisters Kitty, Dola, Peg and Phil and his grandson Sam Kavanagh.

Deeply mourned and sadly missed by his wife Mary, sons Michael and Paul and daughters Annette, Rosaleen and Yvonne, sister Maureen Bianco (U.S.A.), brother John Maye (U.K.), sons-in-law, nieces and nephews, the extended family, neighbours and dear friends.

MARY GARVEY, CLAREMORRIS

Mary Garvey (née Ruane), Facefield, Claremorris. Mary died peacefully in the gentle care of the staff of the Castleturvin Nursing Home, Athenry, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Malachy and adored daughters Ita Griffith and Siobhain sisters Kathleen and Margaret, brothers Martin, Jimmy and Johnny. Mary will be sadly missed by her family, Doreen, Eváin, Adrian and Grainne sons-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother Paddy, sisters Eileen and Nuala, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Gilligan’s Funeral Home Market Square, Claremorris (F12YP74) on Thursday evening from 6 p.m to 7.30 p.m. (Walk through only, no hand shaking and facemasks to be worn please) Mary’s funeral cortège will arrive for Funeral Mass at 12 o.c. in the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace and St Gerald Mayo Abbey on Friday with burial afterwards in Mayo Abbey Cemetery.

CARMEL QUINN, HOLLYMOUNT

Carmel Quinn, Lissatava, Hollymount. Peacefully at the Galway Clinic surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Alphonsus (Fons).

Carmel will be sadly missed by her loving family, daughters Mariosa and Nicola, sons Tom, Michael and Pat, daughters-in-law Anne, Georgina and Anne, sons-in-law Michael and Paul, grandchildren Maria, Thomas, Ethan, Cillian, Emma, Carmel, Vivienne, Jean and Natalie, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at St. Colman’s Funeral Home, Lower James Street (F12 R3W8) on Thursday evening from 5 o’clock to 7 o’clock with removal to The Church of the Immaculate Conception, Roundfort (F12 YV70). Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 o’clock with burial afterwards in Roundfort Cemetery.

Sean Callaghan, Coolturk, Crossmolina.

Predeceased by his parents John and Annie, brother PJ, sisters Maureen Callaghan, Kathleen Rush and Breege Molloy.

Sean will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Mary, and family Enda (Coolturk), Marie Mc Nulty, (Swinford), Brian, Ian and Eiméar (Coolturk). His sister Bernie Walsh (London) and brother Seamus (Coolturk). His grandchildren, Charlie, Jack, Adam, Dara, Emma, Croíadh, Bríon and Caolán, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Sr. Breege Duggan, Rockwell, Ballina and native of Rathbane, Foxford, Ballina. In the wonderful care of the staff of Riverview Nursing Home, Ballina.

Predeceased by her parents Joe and Catherine Duggan, her sister Eilish and brother Michael. She will be sadly missed by her brother John, sister Maura, sister-in-law Bridie, brother-in-law Ken, nieces, nephews, extended family, the Sisters of Mercy, Western Province and many friends.

Reposing at McGowans Funeral Home, Ballina on Thursday evening from 3 p.m. with removal at 4.30 p.m. to St. Muredach's Cathedral, Ballina. Requiem Mass on Friday morning at 11.30 a.m. with burial afterwards to Leigue Cemetery. Funeral Mass will be live streamed at www.ballinaparish.org

MARY FALLON, CASTLEBAR

Mary (Mae) Fallon (née Griffin), Cregganbell, Birr Road, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary and Castlebar, January 3, 2022 (peacefully) at the Sacred Heart Residence, Sybil Hill, Raheny, Dublin.

Beloved wife of the Late Páid and loving mother of Liam, Declan, Jarlath and Kieran. Sadly missed by her sons and grandchildren Deirdre, Conall, Muireann, Diarmuid, Elisa and Brian, daughters-in-law Jackie, Bernie and Mary, her sisters Sr. Marie Aimee and Pauline Scully, sister-in-law Josie Fallon, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Una Mc Namara, Achill Island and formerly of Menlough, Co. Galway. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family in her home, The Boley House, Keel, Achill.

MIKE MCNAMARA, LOUISBURGH

Mike Mc Namara, Kinnadoohy, Louisburgh, January 3, 2022: Unexpectedly but peacefully, at his home surrounded by his family.

Deeply mourned and sadly missed by his loving wife Rose (née Frazer), daughters Mary-Jo (Kinnadoohy) and Pauline (Wales), sons Michael-John (Kinnadoohy) and James (Westport), sister Mary O' Grady (Mass, USA), mother-in-law Julia Frazer, grandchildren Evie and Michael, daughter-in-law Aisling, Pauline's fiance Tom, brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended Mc Namara and Frazer Families and many friends.

Mike will lie in repose at Sweeney's Funeral Home, Louisburgh on Friday from 5.30 p.m., concluding with prayers at 6.30 p.m. Cortége will depart his home at 11.30 a.m. on Saturday to arrive at the Church of the Holy Family, Killeen for 12 noon Mass of the Resurrection, followed by interment in the adjoining cemetery.
