EILEEN COONEY, WESTPORT

Eileen Cooney (née Debney), Shantalla Drive, Beaumont, Dublin native of Stepney, East End of London. January 9, 2022: Peacefully in her 97th year, at her daughter Catherine's home in Carnakelly, Gortnaclasser, Fahy, Westport.

Predeceased by her husband Vincent (Kilmainhamwood). Deeply mourned and sadly missed by her loving son Patrick (Beaumont), daughter Catherine (Fahy), devoted son-in-law Dino, nephew Michael, cousins, extended Debney and Cooney Families and many friends.

May Her Gentle Soul Rest In Peace.

Eileen will lie in repose at her daughter Catherine's home in Fahy from 5 p.m. today (Monday) until Tuesday evening.

Funeral arriving at the Church of the Holy Child, Whitehall, Dublin, on Wednesday for 10.30 a.m. Mass of the Resurrection, followed by interment in Moybologue (New) Cemetery, Tierworker, Co. Cavan arriving at 1.30 p.m. approx.

JOHN JOE WALSH, SHRULE

The death has occurred of John Joe Walsh, Kinlough, Headford, Co Galway and formerly of Millpark, Claran, Headford, on January 9, 2022, peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents John and Bridie, his sisters Nora O’Connell (Killernan), Bríd Egan (Cross) and brothers Patsy (Claran), Tom (Cookstown, Tyrone) and Martin (Connecticut, USA). He will be deeply missed by his heartbroken and devoted wife Patsy (née Gibsey) and daughter Maryann, son-in-law Colm, his sister Maura O’Connell (Connecticut), brothers Jim (Dublin) and Frank (Surrey), sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and wide circle of friends.

Reposing in Ryder's Funeral Home, Headford, on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Requiem Mass will be held in St. Joseph’s Church, Shrule, on Wednesday at 12 p.m. with burial afterwards in Shrule Cemetery.
