MAUREEN MORAN, BALLINA

Maureen Catherine Moran, Prince George, Canada and formerly of Glenamoy, Ballina, on January 9, 2022.

Predeceased by her parents Terrence and Bridget, her brothers John (Kate), Pat (Bridget) and Mike, her sister Bridget and her nephews Mike and T.J.

Maureen will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews in both Canada and Mayo, Ireland. She will be sadly missed by Patrick (Debbie), Roseanne (Mike), P.J. (Philomena), Tommy (Kathleen), Mary, Bridie, Kevin and Mickey.

A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 10 a.m. on Saturday at Immaculate Conception Parish with Fr. Chris Lynch officiating. The mass will be virtual and accessible 10 minutes prior to the beginning of mass at www.icparish.ca

TOM MACKIN, CLAREMORRIS

Tom Mackin, Caltra, Claremorris. Peacefully in the gentle care of the staff of the Claremount Nursing Home.

Predeceased by his brothers Paddy (Toronto) John (Connecticut) sisters Mary (New York) Rita (Coolroe) Nora (Caltra) and niece Teresa. Tom will be sadly missed by his loving nephews Jack, Pat, Tommy, Michael, Matt, Mairtin, Jarlath and Austin and nieces Mary and Rachel, nieces-in-law, nephews-in-law, grandnephews and nieces, and great-grandnephews and nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Gilligan’s Funeral Home Market Square, Claremorris on Saturday evening from 5.30 p.m to 7 p.m. (Walk through only, no hand shaking please) Remains will arrive for Funeral Mass at 11 a.m on Sunday in Church of the Sacred Heart, Crossboyne, with burial afterwards in Crossboyne Cemetery.

Funeral Mass will be live streamed on the “Taugheen Community” Facebook page.

BRIDGET MCKENNA, BELMULLET

Bridget (Bridie) McKenna (née Keane) Newbrook Road, Clonmore, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath and formerly of Blacksod, Belmullet. January 20, 2022. Peacefully following a short illness in the company of her loving husband and family in the devoted care of staff of Midland Regional Hospital Mullingar.

Loving wife of Brendan and dear mother of Niall, Laura, and Ciaran. Bridie will be very sadly missed by her husband and family, adored grandchildren Naoise, Muireann, Caireann, Darragh, Abaigh, Rocco and Holly, brother Tom, daughters-in law, Orla and Siobhán, son-in-law, Niall, relatives and friends.

Bridie’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 11 a.m. in the Cathedral of Christ the King, Mullingar, followed by burial in Ballyglass Cemetery.

Reposing at her home for family and friends on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The Mass may be viewed live on www.mullingarparish.ie

MARION BOLAND, BALLINA

Marion Boland, Victoria terrace and Emmet Street, Ballina. Peacefully in the care of the staff of the Sonas Ard Na Greine, Nursing Home, Enniscrone, Co. Sligo.

Removal from McGowan’s Funeral home, Ballina on Saturday morning at 11.15 a.m. for family only to arrive to St. Muredach’s Cathedral for Mass of the Resurrection at 11.30 a.m. with burial afterwards to Leigue Cemetery.

AUSTIN FANNING, KILLATURLEY

Austin Fanning, Killaturley, January 19, 2022 at Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar (peacefully after an illness).

Sadly missed by his son Rossa, brothers Brian and Hilary, sisters Vivienne, Geraldine and Sister Mary Carmel (Strabane), his nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by his brothers Enda and Eugene, his sisters Gemma, Gabrielle and Babs. Special thanks to all the staff at Mayo University Hospital and particularly the Renal Dialysis Unit, for their exemplary care of Austin.

Removal on Saturday morning to Terenure College Chapel, Templeogue Road, arriving 11 o’c Funeral Mass and afterwards to the Garden Chapel at Mount Jerome Crematorium, Harold’s Cross.

TERESA FINLAY, MAYO

Teresa Finlay (née Fair), Loch Gowna, Co. Cavan, (formerly of Mayo and London) Thursday, January 20, peacefully, at Virginia Health Centre.

Predeceased by her husband Brendan. Sadly missed by her treasured family, daughters; Caroline, Josephine, Eileen and Monica, sons-in-law; Richard, Selwyn, Peter and Nick, grandchildren; Róisín, Siobhán, Amy, Patrick, Molly, James, Annie and Lucy great-grandchildren; Órla and Rufus, extended family and a large circle of friends.

Teresa's remains will be reposing at Lakelands Funeral Home and Crematorium, Cavan (H12 RF78) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today (Friday). Requiem Mass will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Holy Family, Loch Gowna with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
