IRENE APPLETON BURKE, CASTLEBAR

The death has occurred peacefully at Abbey Breaffy Nursing Home, Castlebar, of Irene (better known as Joyce) Appleton - Burke (née Bennett), Cloonkesh, Turlough, Castlebar, January 28, 2022, in her 75th year.

She will be sadly missed by Peter, her daughter Carmen and Stephen, her grandchildren Laura, Joseph and Ellen, her brother Jim and Christine and nieces Emma and Jess and nephew Johnathan (Birkenhead Merseyside, UK.) her sister Phyliss and her children Helen and David Ormskirk.

Joyce will repose at the Kilcoyne Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar on Monday from 10 a.m. with removal at 11 a.m. to St. Michael's Church, Crimlin, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11.30 a.m.. Afterwards Joyce will be laid to rest in Turlough Old Cemetery.

CELIA BURKE, CLAREMORRIS

Celia (Ceilo) Burke (née O’Keeffe) (Castleknock, Dublin 15 and formerly of Claremorris, January 25, 2022. (Peacefully), at the Hermitage Clinic, Lucan.

Beloved wife of the late Colm and dear mother of Bridgina (Gina).

Sadly missed by her loving daughter, son-in-law Cathal, grandchildren Amy, Thomas and Áine, relatives and friends.

A private funeral has taken place.

ELLEN FADIAN, ACHILL ISLAND

The death has occurred of Ellen Fadian (née Mc Namara) Keel West , Dooagh, Achill, peacefully at her home on 29/01/2022 in her 102 year.

Predeceased by her husband Mick, daughter, Ann and son in law Kenneth Lynchehaun.

She will be sadly missed by her son Michael, daughters Mary, Noreen and Helen, grandchildren, Ross, Michael-John, Allan, Patrick and Thomas, great grandchildren, Chloe. Lucy, Isabelle, Oliver, Isla, Cora and Orla, sister Mary-Elizabeth McNamara, sister-in-law Bernadette, niece May Mc Neill, cousins, neighbours and friends

Reposing at Lavelle's Funeral Home Cashel, Achill on Sunday from 4.30 p.m. until 6 o'clock. Funeral Mass on Monday in the Church of the Assumption. Dookinella, followed by burial in Slievemore Cemetery.

Family flowers only, donations if desired to St. Colman's Keel.

ÁINE WARREN, BALLA

Áine Warren (née Corbett), formerly of Balla and late of High Barnes, Sunderland, England. On the January 10, 2022, Áine died peacefully in Sunderland Royal Hospital after a short illness.

Devoted wife of the late Michael and loving ‘Mam’ to Helen and Angela, mother-in-law of Wayne, adored grandmother of Eve and Finn, much loved sister of Nuala and Joe and the late Liam.

Deeply mourned and sadly missed by her daughters, cherished son-in-law and grandchildren, sister and brother, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, her niece and nephew, cousins and many friends.

Requiem Mass will be celebrated for ÁIne at St. Mary’s Church, Sunderland, SR1 1TQ on Monday, January at 12.05 p.m.Cremation to follow at 2 p.m. at Sunderland Crematorium, SR4 7RS.

PATRICK COYLE, GEESALA

Patrick Coyle (better known as Pap), Muingdoran, Geesala, Ballina, peacefully at his residence in his 91st year on January 28, 2022.

Predeceased by his wife Bríd (née Sweeney), sisters Delia and Margaret and brother Seán. Beloved father of Jackie (Muingdoran, Geesala), Dr Mary Coyle (Westport) and Martina Martin (Glenvar, Co. Donegal). Adoring grandfather to Chloe, Jack, Rían, Ella, Padraic, Dan, Aoibhinn, Keelin and Seán. He will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his family – daughter in law Patricia, sons in law John McNamara and John Martin, sisters Mamie Mooney (London), Hannah Garnham (Bournemouth), Kathleen Murphy (Chicago), Bridgie Ruddy (Glencullen, Bangor Erris), Margaret Blake (London) and Teresa Gallagher (London), brothers-in-law, many special cousins, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Remains arriving at St. Colmcille’s Church, Geesala on Saturday evening at 8 o’clock. Funeral Mass on Sunday at 11 o’clock, followed by burial in Geesala Cemetery.
