MARTIN DALY, NEWPORT

Martin Daly of Palmerstown, Dublin 20, ex An Garda Síochána and formerly of Newport who passed away peacefully in his 98th year on January 29, 2022 at the Carechoice Nursing Home, Trim Co. Meath.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Patsy (nee Halloran, Ballina) and daughter in law Mary (née Ryan, Kilrush). Loving father of Marie, Michael, Martin, James(Jim), Patricia and Brian. He will be sadly missed by his family, son in law Barry, daughters in law Marie, Nuala and Maura, grandchildren, sisters in law, Sr. Marie Céline and Bernie, extended family and friends.

Martin will repose at Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Chapel Hill, Lucan on Tuesday from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. in St Philomena’s Church, Palmerstown followed by burial in Esker Cemetery, Lucan.

LAWERENCE SCAHILL, WESTPORT

Lawerence Scahill, Carrowmore, Liscarney, Westport.

Predeceased by his parents Edward and Ellen, brother Martin, sister Kathleen.

Deeply regretted by his loving sisters Mary Kirwan (Liverpool), Nora O'Brien (Drumcree, Westmeath), Rosie Hastings (Liverpool) and Lizzie Scahill (Carrowmore), brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at the Cushlough Community Centre on Tuesday from 6 p.m. with removal at 7 p.m. to The Church of the Sacred Heart, Cushlough. Requiem Mass on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.

MARY WILLIAMS, BALLINA

Mary Williams (née Reape), Carrowtrasna, Carrowmore-Lacken, Ballina, peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her husband Jimmy, infant daughter Ann, parents John and Bridget Reape, and brother Willie.

Beloved mother and grandmother, she will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her daughters Mary (Carrowtrasna), and Teresa ( O'Connor Castlecolane, Carracastle), her son-in-law Eddie, her cherished grandchildren Ruairí and Aíne, her neighbours, relatives, and friends, may her kind and gentle soul rest in peace.

Reposing at her home on Monday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and house private at other times.

Removal from her home on Tuesday to Lacken church for funeral Mass at 1 p.m., followed br burial in Rathfran cemetery. The mass can be viewed on https://www.churchtv.ie/Lacken/.

NORA ANN CONWAY, WESTPORT

Nora Ann Conway (née McDonnell), Luckane, Aughagower, Westport.

Predeceased by her husband Tom, son-in-law John and sister Kathleen. She will be sadly missed by her loving family, sons Thomas and John and daughter Josephine, sister Mary Mc Donnell, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Nora Ann will repose at her home this Monday evening from 5 o'clock with removal at 7 o'clock to St. Patrick's Church Aughagower. Funeral Mass on Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock with burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

MARTIN GIBBONS, NEWPORT

Martin Gibbons (Howth and late of Rosscabe, January 28, 2022, (peacefully).

Martin, loving husband of the late Sharon and grandad of the late Alfie and Baylee; sadly missed by his loving children Robert, Sarah, Laura, Sinead, Lee, Wayne and their partners, grandchildren Saoirse, Bláthnaid, Luke, Cillian, Ryan, Noah, Kaelum, Sophia, Gracie, Graham, Matthew and Nathan, brothers, sisters, mother in law Sheila, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Repose in at Fitzgerald‘s Funeral Directors, Bayside on Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Funeral Mass on Wednesday morning at 10 a.m. in the Church of the Assumption Howth followed by cremation in Dardistown Crematorium. Family flowers only, donations if desired to The Corrigan Ward, Beaumont Hospital or St. Francis Hospice.

MICHAEL MONAGHAN, CASTLEBAR

Michael (Mick) Monaghan, St. Brigid's Crescent, Castlebar. Peacefully following a short illness in his 93rd year on January 28, 2022, surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of Mayo University Hospital.

Predeceased by his wife Nan (nee Denning) and brothers John and Hubert. Deeply regretted and remembered by his loving family, son Andrew, daughter Michelle (Costello), son in law David, daughter in law Mary, grandchildren Martin, Aine, Adam and Aidan. Brothers Jim and Tom, sisters Kathleen and Delia, sisters in law, brothers in law, nieces and nephews neighbours and friends.

Joan Staunton (née Bracken) Mote Park, Roscommon and formerly of Shrule. January 27, 2022; at the Mater Hospital, Dublin.

Beloved wife of the late Michael and devoted mother to Luke, Gavin and Tomás. She will be very sadly missed by her family, her parents Mary and Ted, sisters Caroline (Tiernan) and Aileen, brothers Ciaran and Séamus, mother-in-law Anne, aunts, uncles, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and many friends.

Reposing at Smyth’s Funeral Home, Roscommon on Tuesday evening from 4.30 o’c until 7 o’c. Removal on Wednesday morning leaving her home in Mote Park at 10.30 o’c arriving at St Patrick’s Church, Knockcroghery for Mass of the Resurrection at 11 o’c. Burial afterwards in St Coman’s Cemetery, Roscommon.
