Mayo plans for glamping pods, hostel and motorhome facility
Proposals for glamping pods, a hostel, and a motorhome facility, all located in north Mayo, are among newly-submitted planning applications to Mayo County Council.
The hostel development is proposed for Ballina.
Heyday Hostel Ltd. have applied for a change of use from retail units and apartments to a hostel, including an extension to the north east, and signage, at Lower Pearse Street.
In Belmullet, applicant James Lavelle is seeking planning approval for six self-contained glamping pods to be serviced by on-site services to include a bespoke on-site waste water treatment unit and percolation area.
The site of the proposed pods is at Corclough West, Belmullet.
A third separate application relates to a change of use of the existing car park serving the disused Currach Lounge bar to an overnight motor homeparking facility at Barrack South, Clogher, Ballina.
The applicant is Ciaran O Murchu.
