Appeal for N84 pedestrian crossing at Mayo village location

An appeal has been made for the installation of a pedestrian crossing on the N84 at Ballyheane village.

Councillor Al McDonnell said it is particularly needed for school children crossing a busy roadway to get to local sporting facilities and other amenities.

Ann Sweeney, senior roads engineer, Castlebar Municipal District, said an assessment will be conducted at the location in the near future.
