Castlebar in mourning over death of student

The death has occurred of Mark Melnychuk, 40 Lios na Circe, Saleen, Castlebar, and formerly of Andrushivka, Ukraine.

Aged 24, he was a fourth year medical student at Trinity College Dublin.

News of his passing has evoked an immense sense of loss and sadness in the county town.

Mark will be sadly missed by his heartbroken parents, Olga and Gennadiy, sister Ilona, grandmothers, uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and many friends, to whom deepest sympathy is tendered.

Mark will repose at Kilcoyne's Funeral Home, Thomas Street, Castlebar, tomorrow (Tuesday) from 6 to 10 p.m..

Removal from the funeral home on Wednesday at 11.30 a.m., arriving at the Church of the Holy Rosary, Castlebar, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon.

Afterwards Mark will be laid to rest in the New Cemetery, Castlebar.
