Mayo youths darts team return to national action this weekend

THE Mayo youths darts team will return to action this weekend as they travel to the Newgrange Hotel, Navan, this Saturday, March 5, to represent their county in the Youth Intercounties tournament.

The Covid-19 pandemic took its toll on the organisation of youths darts due to the timeframe between the restrictions being lifted and the competition dates.

However, there was a great response in numbers once the go ahead was given and this will be their first competition of the season.

Unfortunately, because of the short notice, some of the players were not available on the dates, hence just one team will be participating on this occasion.

The Mayo Darts Organisation thanks Declan Kilkelly of Hogs Heaven, who provided the venue for the youths practice, and Martin Geraghty for sponsoring the team shirts

The team and their managers are wished the best of luck on the day.
