Stocktaking.ie support new Mayo centre for children with cancer

STOCKTAKING.IE, Ireland’s leading stocktaking service, is throwing their support behind children’s cancer charity, Cancer Fund for Children.

The company has just launched their 2022 charity partnership with Cancer Fund for Children who are raising funds to build Daisy Lodge, a dedicated therapeutic short break facility in Cong for children across Ireland diagnosed with cancer and their families.

Daisy Lodge will be a therapeutic space where families will receive specialist support from trained practitioners and be able to spend quality time together in a unique and peaceful environment, far removed from gruelling cancer treatment.

Speaking at the launch of the charity partnership, Cancer Fund for Children’s CEO, Phil Alexander, said: “We are excited to partner with Stocktaking.ie throughout 2022. Every month around 30 children and young people (aged 0-24) are diagnosed with cancer in Ireland. Since 2014 we have been able to offer a limited number of families therapeutic support at our centre in Co. Down, but the reality is that for every family we can support there are another six we cannot.

“A new Daisy Lodge in Cong will help enable us to more than double the number of children and parents we support from 1,800 to 4,0000, ensuring that no family in Ireland faces childhood cancer alone.”

Stocktaking.ie is a local company, based in Tuam, who provide an outsourced stocktaking service across Ireland.

Said Stocktaking.ie business development manager Sharon Kelly: “We are absolutely delighted to have chosen Cancer Fund for Children Ireland as our charity partner 2022. I first heard of the charity as I live near the site of where Daisy Lodge Mayo is due to be built. We are off to a wonderful start and delighted to have our full team on board for this very worthy charity.”
