Big Croke Park date for Mayo GAA supporters

Mayo GAA supporters are planning a trip to Croke Park next weekend.

The county's senior football squad have booked a place in the Allianz National Football League final on Sunday at 4 p.m.

The GAA will confirm further details later, including ticket information.

James Horan's charges qualified for the decider for the first time since 2019 by defeating Kildare by 2-20 to 0-18 at Carrick-on-Shannon this afternoon, the goals being registered by Ryan O'Donoghue and Jordan Flynn.

It has been described as the side's best performance in the campaign to date.

A match report is published separately on this site.

The result relegated Kildare from Division One as Dublin also lost their top flight status.

Mayo are likely to be without Diarmuid O'Connor and Brendan Harrison who picked up injuries in the clash.

However, there could be a return for Cillian O'Connor after his absence.
