Mayo musician Stephen Doherty will be one of the performers at Gradam Ceoil TG4 2022 on Easter Sunday night.

Show-stopping line-up announced for Gradam Ceoil 2022

A world-class line-up of top trad talent has been announced for Gradam Ceoil TG4 2022.

Known as ‘the Oscars of traditional music’, the live concert and awards show will take place at the National Concert Hall, Dublin, on Easter Sunday (April 17) at 9.30 p.m., promising a night of foot-stomping entertainment. It will be covered live on TG4 and www.tg4.ie.

TG4 Gradam Ceoil 2022 recipients, who represent the crème de la crème of traditional music and song, will be joined in live performances on stage by their own special musical guests, including Mayo man Stephen Doherty as well as Cathy Jordan, Paddy McEvoy, Rory McGorman, Robbie Hannon, Neil Martin, Áirc Damhsa, Áine & Francis O’Connor and Eileen De Paor.

The highly anticipated live awards show, which will be hosted by TG4 presenters Doireann Ní Ghlacáin and Páidí Ó Lionáird, will also feature live performances from the seven Gradam Ceoil 2022 recipients – Paddy Glackin, Diarmuid Ó Meachair, Dolores Keane, Sarah Ghriallais, Edwina Guckian, Skara Brae and Connie O’Connell – who will be recognised for their talent and contribution to traditional Irish music.

A range of VIP guest presenters will also take to the stage to present the recipients with their awards. These include President Michael D. Ó hUiginn, Stephen Rea, Mary Black, Liam O’Connor, Vincent Woods and Lillis Ó Laoire.
