Mayo schools' soccer teams eyeing Connaught glory

With over 140 girls playing soccer in Davitt College, all teams have been hugely successful.

The year got off to a super start with the Under 17 girls 2-1 win over Gortnor Abbey, followed by a 1-1 draw against Presentation College, Tuam.

This Under 17 team have progressed to the Connacht semi-finals. The Under 15 team have enjoyed great success too, and they are through to the quarterfinals and are set to play St. Mary's in Ballina.

The first year girls remain unbeaten and have accumulated 14 goals in matches against St. Louis in Kiltimagh, St. Joseph's in Castlebar and Presentation College in Tuam. The first years eagerly await their Connacht semi-final.

It's been an exciting year so far for Davitt College and the school is incredibly proud of all their players.
