Changes to Mayo team for trip to London
Mayo senior hurling manager Derek Walsh has made two changes to his team ahead of their round three Christy Ring Cup match against London tomorrow (Saturday) in McGovern Park, Ruislip.
The McManus brothers, Ger and Joe, return to the team after missing last weekend and replace Danny Hill and Conal Hession respectively. Ger starts for the first time at centre-back this year, with David Kenny and Mark Phillips on the wings.
Also in defence, Gary Nolan switches to corner-back, with Stephen Coyne at full-back and Paul Kirwan in the other corner. The dependable Bobby Douglas continues in goal.
Keith Higgins is named at midfield after impressing there in Mayo's victory over Wicklow last weekend, and he is now partnered by Daniel Huane.
Up front, Joe McManus replaces Conal Hession and leads the attack from the edge of the square, with captain Shane Boland and Adrian Phillips in the corners. The proficient Joe Mooney is named at centre-forward, with Sean Kenny and Eoin Delaney on the wings.
