LGFA and TG4 confirm bumper summer schedule of championship fixtures
The Ladies Gaelic Football Association and championship sponsors TG4 have today confirmed a sizzling summer schedule of 14 live fixtures.
TG4 will screen 13 games from the 2022 TG4 All-Ireland championships as well as providing live coverage of the historic TG4 Leinster senior final from Croke Park on Saturday, May 28.
Live coverage of the 2022 TG4 All-Ireland series commences on Saturday, June 11, with two live games from round one of the senior championship.
There are two round two senior championship games pencilled in for live coverage on Sunday, June 19, followed by two round three senior championship ties on Saturday, June 25.
The action continues with two TG4 senior quarterfinals live on Saturday, July 9, while the two senior semi-finals from Croke Park on Saturday, July 16, will also receive the TG4 live treatment.
The 2022 inter-county season concludes back at Croke Park on Sunday, July 31, when TG4 will provide live and exclusive coverage of the TG4 All-Ireland junior, intermediate and senior finals. The junior final will get underway at 11.45 a.m., the intermediate decider will commence at 1.45 p.m., and the senior final will throw in at 4 p.m.
Peil na mBan Beo will be available to audiences globally on the TG4 Player at www.tg4.ie/beo and on the TG4 mobile and smart TV app.
Former Galway star Máire Ní Bhraonáin will lead TG4’s Peil na mBan Beo coverage once again for the forthcoming championship season, while the commentary team will be headed up by Brian Tyers.
They will be joined by a number of expert panellists, including former Cork stars Rena Buckley and Rhóna Ní Bhuachalla, ex-Waterford ace Michelle Ryan, former Dublin player Sinéad Finnegan, current TG4 Senior Players’ Player of the Year and 2021 All-Ireland senior medallist Vikki Wall from Meath, and current Donegal player Emer Gallagher.
TG4’s coverage will be produced by Waterford-based production company, Nemeton TV.
