Leading Mayo businessman receives Lifetime Achievement Award

Noel Kavanagh, head of the Kavanagh Group of SuperValu supermarkets in Mayo, has been honoured for his outstanding contribution to the county's commercial sector.

The Westport man was the recipient of the Neill O'Neill Lifetime Achievement Award at the annual Mayo Business Awards.

He received the prestigious accolade at a presentation ceremony at Westport Town Hall Theatre yesterday.

Another Westport man, Michael Moran, was presented with the Westport Chamber Special Award for his dedication to the organisation over the past four decades.

Excellence in Consumer Service Award: The Chill Spa at the Ice House, Ballina.

Best Emerging New Business/Start-Up Award: Philomedia, Foxford.

Best Digital Presence Award: Knockranny House Hotel, Westport.

Accessibility and Inclusion Award: Mayo Adventure Experience, Castlebar.
