Over 2,600 entries were submitted to the competition by photographers from 26 European countries.

David's portfolio was adjudged one of the top 10 best overall portfolios in the sports category as he won one Merit and two Distinction awards.

It was the third consecutive year for the Ballina lensman to have work selected in the best overall top 10 sports category at the European photographic competition.

Michael, meanwhile, took bronze for a stunning portfolio in the nature category.
