Planned temporary N17 closure for Mayo bridge works

MAYO County Council has published a notice of intention to temporarily close the N17 carriageway in the townlands of Lisduff and Clare, Claremorris.

The closure is to accommodate precast bridge beam installation on a new flyover at Lisduff.

Diversion routes will be in place.

The proposed road closure is from 8 a.m. on June 21 to midnight on June 23, in the townlands of Lisduff and Clare from the junction with the R320 to the junction of the southbound N17/N60 off slip.

Diversion routes are, northbound: R320, R331 Lower James Street / James Street / Dalton Street, LP1519 Knock Road. Southbound: N17 / N60 off slip, N60, R331 Dalton Street / James Street / Lower James Street, R320.

Objections or observations regarding the proposed temporary closure may be submitted in writing not later than 4p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, to Paul Dolan, Head of Roads, Mayo County Council, Aras an Chontae, Castlebar.
