Planning approval for relocating south Mayo bookmakers outlet

PLANS for a new bookmakers outlet in south Mayo have been approved by Mayo County Council.

Boyle Sports are on the move and will be housed in a section of the Art O'Neill's Bar premises in Ballinrobe.

Boyle Sports currently operate a betting shop in Ballinrobe.

They will be relocating their existing operations to Art O'Neill's.

The company has been granted planning permission for a change of use of the front (Bridge Street) section of the existing ground floor of what is a protected structure from a public house to a bookmaker's office.

The application provides for maintaining the public house use to the Abbey Street car park side.
