Castlebar Mitchels get go ahead for spectator stands

CASTLEBAR Mitchels are to erect two new spectator stands at their facilities at An Sportlann.

An application for planning permission for the shelters has been granted by Mayo County Council at Josie Munnelly Park, to the rear of MacHale Park.

The two spectator shelters are for playing pitch no. 1 and no. 2, with the first shelter to be constructed using a steel framed covered structure/canopy that will be located between pitch 1 and pitch 2.

Shelter 2 is also a steel framed covered structure along the boundary wall that will serve pitch 1 and will include stepped spectator seating.
