TD awaits HSE response on Mayo hospital's x-ray facility usage

A west of Ireland TD has asked the Minister for Health Stephen Donnelly a number of questions on the x-ray facility at Belmullet District Hospital.

Deputy Eamon Ó Cuív wants to know when it was first provided and the number of images taken per year since being installed.

Mayo TD Rose Conway-Walsh has also asked the Minister for Health to provide an update on the capital investment plans for the community hospitals in Belmullet, and the district hospitals in Swinford and Ballina, "in order to take pressure off Mayo University Hospital."

In respect of both TD's queries, the minister stated: "As the HSE is responsible for the delivery of public healthcare infrastructure projects, I have asked the HSE to respond to directly (to the TDs) in relation to this matter."
