Mayo prepare for clash against Kildare next weekend

Mayo have been drawn against Kildare in the second round of the All-Ireland SFC qualifiers.

The game takes place at Croke Park on Saturday, throw-in at 6 p.m. The match will be screened live by Sky Sports.

In their most recent meeting, James Horan's charges defeated Kildare by 2-20 to 0-18 in the National League at Carrick-on-Shannon.

The latest meeting will evoke memories of the 'Newbridge or Nowhere' championship encounter between the counties in 2018, a match Mayo lost.

Kildare manager Glen Ryan was at Hastings Insurance MacHale Park last Saturday to watch Mayo's winning display against Monaghan.

In the other ties in the round, Armagh face Donegal, Cork play Limerick and Roscommon clash with Clare.

Sligo have been drawn against Cavan in the semi-final of the Tailteann Cup with Westmeath drawn against John Maughan's Offaly.
