Work starts on Mayo island's new playground

WORK has begun on the construction of a new playground in Inishturk.

The first sod was turned this week on the new recreation area and contractors Creative Play Solutions are scheduled to have them completed by July 8.

Situated on a site overlooking the harbour, the playground and recreation area will be a big boost for the island children and visitors.
