Proposed Ballina filling station redevelopment

A PETROL filling station and convenience shop in Ballina is to be redeveloped.

Shuttington Holdings Ltd. propose demolishing an existing facility at Kilmoremoy, Killala Road, and constructing a new filling station and shop.

The existing shop and filling station on the site are currently closed.

The redevelopment plans include a retail store with an off-licence, hot and cold food counter for consumption on and off the premises, and customer seating. The shop will have a nett retail area of 529 sq. m.

Twenty-eight park spaces are included in the plans submitted to Mayo County Council for planning approval, with two accessible parking spaces and also electric vehicle charging points.

Documentation submitted to the council said the company believed the development would be a welcome addition to the area.
