Mayo Under 21 Leagues going to the wire

There is sure to be plenty of drama this Sunday in the Mayo Football League with the final round of fixtures in the TF Royal Hotel & Theatre Under 21 Leagues.

In Division 1, table-toppers Castlebar Celtic's destiny is in their hands. Following a 5-2 win last night against Kiltimagh/Knock United, they will be crowned champions should they avoid defeat on Sunday morning away to reigning champions Ballyheane.

From there is where things can get interesting. Should Ballyheane defeat Celtic, it will force a playoff between both teams. But Conn Rangers, who beat Ballyheane 4-1 last night, could force a three-way playoff should they beat Manulla on the final day and Ballyheane beat the Hoops.

In Division 2, Ballina Town and Claremorris are joint top and should their both either win, lose or draw their final games against Ballinrobe Town and Glenhest Rovers respectively, it will go to a playoff. But should Town better the Claremorris result or vice versa, no playoff will be required and either Town or Claremorris can win the league.
