Concern over upkeep of Mayo greenway route

Overgrowth on the greenway between Castlebar and Turlough has been highlighted by local Councillor Blackie Gavin.

It is nearly closed in as there is a lot of overgrowth on the route, he has pointed out.

“It needs looking at,” he informed Mayo County Council management.

Councillor Gavin also highlighted an issue at Lough Lannagh in Castlebar where fencing at the bridge is rotten and needs to be replaced.
