Great captain's day outing for Tolster's Golf Society at west Mayo course

It was a long-awaited day for Tolster's Golf Society as captain Austin Quinn welcomed everyone to Westport Golf Club.

Every single golfer was blown away by the fabulous condition of the course and a great day was had by all.

It was back to Tolster's Bar in Castlebar for a brilliant reception by Gerry and the team, and everyone enjoyed a fun evening with a beautiful meal and the presentation.

Captain Austin Quinn, who has been in the society since it started, thanked everyone for coming and commended the entire society committee on all the hard work that goes into every outing on each occasion.

There were plenty of names in the prize list, led by Frank Murray in first position. He was followed by Gerry Walsh in second and John P. Parsons in third.

Following up the top three were Niall Quinn and Frank McHale in fourth and fifth respectively. James Murray took the visitors' prize, with the longest drive achieved by Richie Feeney, while Fintan Morrin got nearest the pin.

Tolster's Golf Society will be back on August 18 in Castlebar for David Ennis to celebrate his president's day. All enquiries can be made at Tolster's Bar, Spencer Street, Castlebar.
