Request for barriers at Moyne Cemetery

SOUTH Mayo Councillor Patsy O'Brien wants to see progress made on the provision of barriers at Moyne graveyard.

He called on Mayo County Council for an update on the progress being made, pointing out that he previously raised the mater by way of an earlier notice of motion in 2021.

He was told the council has engaged with the Moyne Cemetery committee to determine the appropriate measures for the provision of barriers and the issue will be progressed once agreement is reached.

Speaking at a Claremorris-Swinford Municipal District meeting, Councillor O'Brien said he was happy with the report received.
