Caylum Flynn

South Mayo teenager will be laid to rest on Wednesday

TEENAGER Caylum Flynn, whose death has numbed south Mayo, will be laid to rest tomorrow (Wednesday).

Caylum, from Seefin, Scardaune, Claremorris, is deeply mourned by his heartbroken parents Michelle and Alan, brothers Evan and Ryan, grandmothers Ita Hughes and Delia Flynn, aunts, uncles, extended family and many friends.

He will repose at his residence this evening (Tuesday), with Mass on Wednesday in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Roundfort, before he is laid to rest in Roundfort Cemetery.

Many tributes have been paid to Caylum, with his school, St. Colman's College in Claremorris, recalling 'a lovely young man with a mischievous glint in his eye'. The school community will miss him terribly.

Carras GAA Club also paid tribute to their 'tigerish wing back' who had an eye for a score and had a bright future ahead of him.

Caylum, they said in an online tribute, was full of life and character and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.
