PETER HEGARTY, MAYO

Peter Hegarty, Castleknock, Dublin 15 and formerly of Co. Mayo and Co. Meath, peacefully, in the loving care of the staff at The Mater Private Hospital.

Beloved husband of Mary and dear father of Tara, Catherine and Áine. Predeceased by his brother John. Sadly missed by his loving wife, daughters, grandchildren Hannah, Ronan, Lily-Grace, Lucille and Finn Mac, sons-in-law Jon, Simon and Fiachra, brothers Michael, Thomas and Gerald, sister Mairín, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Reposing at his home on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Removal to the Church of Our Lady Mother of the Church, Castleknock on Saturday morning arriving for Requiem Mass at 10 a.m. followed by cremation at Dardistown Crematorium.

MICHAEL JOE KILBANE, CASTLEBAR

Michael Joe Kilbane, 10 Millwood, Turlough, Castlebar and late of Watford, England and Achill Beg, peacefully at Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar.

Deeply mourned by his wife Margaret, sons Stephen and Peter, brother Jo (Polranny, Achill), sister-in-law Celine, daughters-in-law Fiona and Helen, grandchildren Rebecca, Keziah, Emily and Matthew, nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Remains reposing at Coady's Funeral Home, on Sunday evening from 5.30 to 7 p.m.

Funeral cortège will pass Michael’s residence on Monday at 11.30 a.m. en route to Parke, for Funeral Mass at 12 noon in Holy Family Church, Parke.

Michael will be laid to rest afterwards in Parke Cemetery.

MICHAEL SCANLON, BELMULLET

Michael Scanlon, Blind Harbour House, Tippe, Belmullet, and formerly of Church Road, Belmullet peacefully at the Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar surrounded by his loving family.

Predeceased by his parents Terence and Julia and his brother Eamon. Beloved husband of Breege and dear father of Breege, Damien and Jarlath. He will be sadly missed by his heartbroken family, son-in-law Declan, daughter-in-law Deirdre, grandchildren Áireann, Jack, Michael Chris, David and Eamon, brothers Terence, J.J., Martin, sister Maria, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Remains reposing at McDonnell’s Funeral Home, Belmullet, on Friday evening from 6 until 7.30 p.m., with funeral arriving at the Church of the Holy Family, Carne, Belmullet, at 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday at 12.30 p.m, followed by burial in Tarmoncarra Cemetery.

JOHN F. FOX, CROSS

John F. “Sean” Fox, age 88, native of Gortacurra, Cross.

Retired 60 year member of Laborers Local 310. U.S. Army veteran. Proud and active member of the West Side Irish-American Club. Friend of Bill W. and Dr. Bob for last 29 years. Passed away at home surrounded by his family.

Beloved husband of 61 years to Agnes (née McGrath); loving father of Ann Stefancin (Dan), Kathleen Drellishak (Dan), Maura Byrne (Mike), Eileen, Edward (Ann Marie), John (Erin), Patricia Gompf (Jason) and Brian (Liz); proud grandpa of 25: Sean Stefancin (Ling Ling), Megan Pasquarette (Jay), Sara Stefancin (Megan), Erin Taylor (Alex), Connor Drellishak, Brian Drellishak, Colleen Drellishak, Daniel Drellishak, Matthew Byrne (Maggie), Catherine Kolde (Nick), Patrick Fox, Michael Fox, Dermot Fox, Owen Fox, Clare Fox, Caitlin Fox, Maggie Fox, Tessie Fox, Madeline Gompf, Aidan Gompf, Kerri Gompf, Emma Fox, Luke Fox, Colin Fox and Ryan Fox and great-grandpa of three Lily Agnes Pasquarette, Jack Daniel Pasquarette and Joseph John Kolde; brother of Luke (deceased), Padraig (deceased), Mary Rose Barrett, Breege Murphy (James, deceased), Kathleen O’Grady (deceased) (Maurice), Ann Farragher (deceased) (Brendan) and Edward (deceased); beloved uncle, great-uncle and dear friend of many.

A Remembrance Mass for Sean will take place in The Church of The Scared Heart, Cross on Saturday at 6.30 p.m.

PEGGY HEFFERNAN, HOLLYMOUNT

Peggy (Maragret) Heffernan (née Sweeney), Rathgranagher, Hollymount and formerly of Seefin, Scaurdan, suddenly at Mayo University Hospital, Castlebar.

Predeceased by her husband, Mike, her parents, Thomas and Sarah Sweeney, brother Patrick and sister Pauline. Most sorrowfully regretted by her loving daughter, Mary, her sisters, Mary (Fallon), Sadie (Mellett) and Ann (Heffernan), her brother, John, brothers-in-law, nephews, nieces, grand- nephews, grand-nieces and all other relatives friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Kilmaine Community Centre (F31 RC95) on Friday evening from 6 o'clock until 7.30 o'clock. Removal from her home on Saturday morning, to arrive in St., Patrick's Church, Kilmaine for Mass of the Resurrection at 11 o'clock with funeral proceeding afterwards to the New Cemetery, Kilmaine.

TOM JENNINGS, BELMULLET

The death has occurred of Tom Jennings, Chiswick, London and formerly of Belmullet. Tom Jennings passed from this life after battling cancer.

Beloved husband of Mae and loving dad to Michelle, Siobhan, Tom and Lorraine. Sadly, missed by his wife, son and daughters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at W Sherry & Sons Funeral Directors, Acton Lane, London. Removal Friday to Our Lady of Grace & St. Edward Church, Chiswick arriving for 10 a.m. Funeral Mass followed by cremation at Mortlake Crematorium.

BREEGE MACKEY, HOLLYMOUNT

Breege Mackey (née Mellett), The Bridge Bar and Melmac, Back Road, Ramelton, Co. Donegal, F92 YH26, formerly Carrowkeel, Hollymount, peacefully at Letterkenny University Hospital.

Predeceased by her husband Jose and her parents Patrick and Una Mellett. Deeply regretted by her daughter Ciara, sons Rory and Gavin, son-in-law David, daughters-in-law Carol Anne and Salena, grandchildren Louie and Darcy, brothers Joe, Dick and Martin, sisters Bernadette, Rosario and Sheila, brothers-in-law Pat and Brian, sisters-in-law Finola, Bernie, Marie and Marjorie, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Remains reposing at her home from 7pm today, Wednesday, August 17. Requiem Mass on Friday at 11 a.m. in St Mary’s Church, Ramelton. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

CATHERINE O'CONNELL, NEWPORT

The death has occurred of Catherine O’Donnell (née Geraghty), Sandhill, Newport, and formerly of Buckagh, Newport, peacefully at home on surrounded by her loving family.

Sadly missed by her loving husband Neil, daughters, Mary, Caroline,Teresa and Katrina , son Tony and her sister Annie (Chicago), sons-in-law, Matt, Steve, Kieran and Richie, daughter-in-law, Yvonne, grandchildren, Rebecca, David, Alan, Kerry, Daniel, Oliver, Aaron and Connor, nieces, nephews and extended family.

Reposing at her home on Thursday between 5 to 8 p.m. House private at all other times. Removal from her home on Friday for funeral Mass at 12 noon in St. Brendan’s Church, Tiernaur followed by burial afterwards in Kileen Cemetery.
