Mayo village looking forward to wonderful new amenity

Former Mayoman of the Year Bill Durkan has performed the sod-turning ceremony at the new community park in Bohola.

Mr. Durkan, who donated the land for the facility, was joined by a large turnout at the event.

The amenity will consist of a pitch with a walkway around its full perimeter.

Also incorporated will be a playground and an orchard with multiple picnic and rest areas.

A biodiversity walkway will be created joining the local national school to the Toughnane Road in the village.

The work will be carried out by Kevin Mulderrig Construction.

When completed, it will be a wonderful facility for residents of the area.
