New Level 8 part-time course for Mayo third level students

Atlantic Technological University (ATU), formerly GMIT, has launched a new programme, the Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Human Resource Management.

This is a part-time programme allowing participants to continue working and studying at the same time.

The programme has been developed closely with industry and is at Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications. Hence this programme is recognised Nationally and Internationally.

This qualification is available through a mix of face to face lectures and online engagement.

Students who successfully complete this programme are eligible for associate level membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

As this is a part time programme students will only be expected to attend the campus once a month and it also incorporates two residential weekends (one each term) in a Hotel over the academic year.

ATU is planning to run third year of this new programme in September 2022.

Candidates with prior educational qualifications can gain advanced entry to the third year of this programme, candidates that have no previous educational qualifications can apply for first year of this part-time programme.

Stand-alone modules are also available to candidates who are not in a position to commit to the full programme.

They can accumulate credits for these modules contributing to their full award at a future date.

Please note the ATU operates a system of recognising prior learning which can be certified or experiential.
