Mayo player scoops €152,670 in Tuesday’s EuroMillions draw

EuroMillions players in Co. Mayo are being urged to check their tickets very carefully today after a player in the Westport area matched five numbers to scoop €152,670 in last night’s (Tuesday) EuroMillions draw.

The winning Normal Play ticket was sold on August 9 in Hoban’s Centra, The Quay, Westport. The winning numbers in yesterday's EuroMillions were: 19, 26, 31, 39, 48 and the Lucky Stars 2 and 3.

Séan Hoban, who owns the store along with his sister Ciara, was delighted to get the call about the win. “We’re in business at the Quay since 1999,” said Séan. “I’m actually the fourth generation running the shop and this is our first big win. I can’t wait for the buzz over the next couple of days – there’s sure to be a flurry of local customers in and out checking tickets and asking lots of questions!”

“I hope it’s one of our regular customers. It’s a lovely amount of money and should give some security for the winner, especially with the way things are at the minute and how everything’s gone so expensive. We wish the winner the very best of luck with their prize.”

The Mayo winner is advised to sign the back of their ticket, which is now worth €152,670, and keep it safe. They should contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie and arrangements will be made for them to claim their prize.

As there was no winner of last night’s EuroMillions jackpot of €87,739,478, the draw on Friday night (August 26) is set to roll towards an estimated €100 million. Meanwhile, tonight’s Lotto jackpot is set to roll to an estimated €4 million.
