'Cycle for Shane' team given warm welcome by Mayo communities

Cycle for Shane, an epic charity cycle from London to Achill Island, took place over the course of the past week.

The purpose of the event was to raise awareness of SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) and to raise funds for Epilepsy Ireland.

With the funds raised, Epilepsy Ireland plan to extend SUDEP Action UK’s renowned SUDEP and Seizure Safety Check in Ireland.

This will undoubtedly help to prevent SUDEP related deaths in Ireland and create a lasting legacy for Shane who died in 2018 at the age of just 23.
