Long-established Mayo business closing

A LONG-ESTABLISHED Mayo gift shop is closing at the end of the month.

O'Reilly & Turpin, based on Bridge Street in Westport, announced their closure on social media yesterday.

They announced: 'After 35 years in business and 32 years in our current shop we are closing our lovely shop and heading off to new adventures!'

A popular outlet, the shop has a reputation for its support of Irish crafts, being a go-to place for a unique gift.

The Facebook post paid tribute to the 'fabulous customers' who have supported them over the years, and their suppliers who work so hard in their various businesses.

'It is a very sad and emotional time, September 30th being the last day.'
