Over 70 players involved in Mayo club's memorial blitz

IT was a big day for girls football recently in Celtic Park with over 70 players taking part in the Under 10 blitz in memory of Castlebar Celtic coach and friend Jeremy Dee.

Every child left with a medal and memories of a great day out. It was a first blitz for many of these young girls and the club is looking forward to welcoming them to Celtic Park again soon.

MC James Murray made everyone feel welcome and is positive there is a few future Irish internationals in Celtic Park.

Medals were presented by members of the Dee family with cup winners Partry receiving the Jeremy Dee Cup from his brother Michael.

Player of the tournament was Ciara McKeown from Ballyvary Blue Bombers.
