Mayo primary school extension goes to tender

A Mayo TD has welcomed confirmation that Mayo Abbey National School, Claremorris, has proceeded to tender for a school extension.

Deputy Alan Dillon said: "The project will consist of a new extension to the existing school building, to include a mainstream classroom, including WC for assisted users and associated upgrades to the existing school buildings.

“I look forward to a tender been chosen and works commencing in the coming months.

"I wish principal Miriam Quinn, the board of management, teachers and students every continued success for the future."
