Ornua graduate programme seeks qualified candidates from the west

Kerrygold owner Ornua has launched its search for the next generation of leaders from the west and all around Ireland through its 2023 graduate programme.

Commencing September 2023, the Ornua graduate programme has been specifically designed to equip high-performing graduates with the business skills and experience needed to excel in one of Ireland’s leading international food businesses.

The programme, which is now welcoming applications, is seeking applicants for a range of permanent roles across key business functions, including ICT, sales and marketing, supply chain and logistics, manufacturing and engineering, finance, commercial, and operations.

Successful applicants will have the unique opportunity to develop their careers by gaining international experience, with positions offered in Germany, Nigeria, Spain, the UK and the US (Chicago), as well as locally in Ireland.

As part of the programme, which includes structured rotations with exposure to multiple disciplines and business units, successful candidates will also benefit from guided mentorship from senior leaders within the business. Several of the co-op’s current senior leaders – including John Jordan, CEO – began their careers with Ornua as graduates.

In addition to taking part in critical project work and receiving real responsibilities, candidates on the programme will also participate in continued professional development through a mix of structured classroom training and self-directed learning modules.

Majella Darcy, chief people officer with Ornua, commented: “We are delighted to once more welcome applications from passionate graduates who are keen to begin their career journey within the food industry by joining a diverse, international business like Ornua. For 61 years, Ornua has brought world-class Irish dairy to consumers around the globe and key to that success story has been our strong pipeline of outstanding talent. We are committed to nurturing the careers of our people at all levels of the business, and through our industry-leading graduate programme, we aim to leverage the deep knowledge within our business to shape the next generation of talent.”

The Ornua graduate programme is accepting applications until October 21, with successful applicants taking up their position in autumn next year. To learn more or apply for the 2023 Ornua graduate programme, visit www.earlycareers.ornua.com.
