Time ticking at Mayo council meetings
TIME is ticking for elected members of Mayo County Council.
The council clock, which gives councillors a specified time in which they can talk on matters in the chamber, has been reintroduced.
It's set at a three-minute countdown and when your allotted time is up during a debate, the buzzer goes off.
The clock made its return at the September meeting of the authority having gone out the window during Covid, when meetings were held online.
