Manulla FC appoint Walter Barrett as new senior manager

Walter Barrett has been confirmed as the new manager of Manulla FC.

He succeeds Aidan Dunleavey, who vacated the position two weeks previous.

Walter has had a distinguished playing and coaching career. He was goalkeeper when Manulla won the Mayo Super League title in 1999.

As a coach, he led the Mayo Under 12s Schoolboys to a national title in 2018 when Mayo defeated Dublin District Schoolboys LEague to win the SFAI Inter-League title

In a statement on their social media, Manulla said that following Walter's break from management, Walter and his coaching team 'have ambitious plans to develop their own team and continue to challenge for major honours at the top flight of our game in the Mayo League and beyond.'

"Manulla FC wish all the best to Walter and his backroom team in building their team for the year ahead," the statement concluded.
