Thunderstorm warning in place for Mayo

A Status Yellow thunderstorm warning is in place for Mayo.

According to Met. Éireann, further heavy showers and thunderstorms, coupled with strong and gusty southwesterly winds and possible falls of hail, are imminent.

Disruption is expected including spot flooding and dangerous road conditions, especially near coasts.

The warning is in place until 9 p.m. today.
