“The young members of Bord na nÓg years are now our coaches, our officers, maintain our pitch and help run the club. They are now role models for our new members who come into us every year” said Mr. Baynes.

The president of the GAA, Mr. McCarthy spoke about “working on a road map for the future and reflecting on our past.”

“We are the greatest community-based sport organisation in the world and not only should we strategize for the future, we should memorialise the past.”

“I’m delighted to hear you’re a Healthy Club, as it attracts other people into our organisation and again it’s puts us at the heart of the community and that contribution was never more seen in the last two years.”

At the end of his speech, he officially launched the strategic plan and the founding members of the club’s Bord na nÓg were commemorated.
