MARY WHELAN, NEWPORT
Mary (Mamie) Whelan (née McEvaddy), Sutton and formerly of Newport. Peacefully, in the wonderful care of Brymore House Nursing Home, Howth surrounded by her loving family.
Beloved partner and soulmate of Mike. Very sadly missed by her loving children Paul and Sadhbh and also remembering their late father Peter, daughter-in-law Karen, son-in-law Barry, her adored grandchildren Jake, Abby and Luke, sisters Tess, Pat and Emer, brothers-in-law Paudie and Des, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours in Sutton and in Mayo. Remembered fondly by all the people whose lives she touched through her teaching and community development work.
Reposing at her daughter’s home, on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Removal to the Church of the Resurrection, Bayside, on Saturday morning for 10.30 a.m. Funeral Mass followed by cremation in Dardistown Crematorium.
JAMES O'DOWD, SHRULE
The death has occurred of James (Jimmy) O' Dowd, Manchester, United Kingdom and formerly of Dalgan Road, Shrule. Suddenly.
Deeply mourned by his wife Kay, son Damien and daughter Bernadette, Damien's partner Felecity and Bernadette's partner Paul. Brother John (Dalgan), sister-in-law Susan. Niece Deirdre, husband Niall and family. Nephew Seamus. Brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, relatives and friends.
Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday in St. Joseph's Church, Shrule at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Shrule Cemetery.
GERALDINE O'MALLEY, LOUISBURGH
Geraldine O'Malley, Stechford, Birmingham, England formerly Cloonty, Killadoon, Louisburgh. Unexpectedly at her home in Stechford.
Predeceased by her father Davey and brother Michael. Deeply mourned and sadly missed by her loving mother Alice (née O'Malley), sisters Mary (Cloonty), Martina Kent (Dublin) and Nora Gorey (Dublin), brothers John (Westport), Patrick (Straide), David (Thallabawn), James (Cloonty) and Martin (New Zealand), aunt Rose Mc Connell, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, partners, nieces, cousins, and a wide circle of friends.
