Delay in key Mayo ICU appointments is questioned

A member of the Oireachtas has questioned the delay in the appointment of shift leads in the intensive care unit of Mayo University Hospital.

Deputy Eamon Ó Cuív said the matter needed to resolved urgently in line with a national directive.

He made the point that all the other hospitals in the Saolta group have already had their shift leads appointed.

Health Minister Stephen Donnelly has referred the matter to the HSE.
