Mayo guests for 'Pubcast' Christmas double header

Pubcasters, Mayo DJ Ray Mac and UK writer Jorma Kirkko, have announced the details for the Christmas double header podcasts.

It will feature two talented Mayo big names: novelist and journalist Morag Prunty/Kate Kerrigan, and comedienne Christina McMahon, immortalised on Ireland’s Got Talent. The ladies will be our guests talking about their lives, Christmas and general craic.

The Pubcast has been widely acclaimed, with Mayo comedian Bob Hennigan describing it as ’the only podcast that makes me want to board a plane to Istanbul to go drinking with the hosts.’’

Broadcast from Turkey, The Pubcast’s first six episodes have attracted listeners in 46 countries and it is already in the top 15% of independent podcasts globally in terms of downloads.

‘’Blackmilkshake: The Pubcast is a happy meal at Macs, so pull up a chair, enjoy the craic, hours of intoxication, general warmth. Blackmilkshake – good skills and good times’’, Ray invites at the start of each show.

The lads met five years ago in an Istanbul pub when Ray stole Jorma’s wife’s seat. A friendship developed and with their shared love of radio they started a Pubcast (podcast in a pub) based loosely on Ray and his cousin, Eamon’s Facebook page, Blackmilkshake from the upstairs room at James Joyce Irish Pub, Istanbul.
