Mayo county town mourns death of popular personality
The death has taken place of Stephen Carroll, Garryduff Park, Castlebar, and formerly of Ballaghaderreen Co. Roscommon.
Recently predeceased by his loving wife Maureen, he is deeply regretted by his son Seamus, sisters Sr. Elizabeth (Ballaghaderreen) and Mary Sharkey (US), brother Eddie (US), granddaughter Grace, daughter-in-law Aine, brothers in law, sisters in law, nephews, nieces, cousins relatives, neighbours and friends, to whom deepest sympathy is tendered.
Stephen was a very popular personality in Castlebar and news of his passing is deeply mourned in the community.
He was always very helpful to his neighbours and he provided a grass-cutting service for many people in the Garryduff area during the summer months.
His remains will be reposing at Coady’s Funeral Home on Saturday evening from 6 p.m., with removal at 7.45 p.m. to The Church of The Holy Rosary, Castlebar.
Requiem Mass on Sunday at 12 noon prior to burial in the New Cemetery, Castlebar.
