Contracts signed for south Mayo burial ground project

REPRESENTATIVES from Mayo County Council met recently with local contractors Kevin Madden from John Madden & Sons, Ballinrobe, for the official signing of contracts for the new Milehill burial ground project serving Ballinrobe and The Neale.

The project is commencing on site in January and is replacing the existing burial ground in Ballinrobe, which is approaching capacity.

It is anticipated that it will be completed in the summer of 2023. It will contain several green and sustainable initiatives to promote composting and waste recycling on site as well as cycle parking.
