MAUREEN FLYNN, BALLINA

Maureen Flynn (née Ryan), Marian Cresent, Ballina.

Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Ballina. Predeceased by her husband Jimmy and daughter Myra. Maureen, beloved mother of Audrey Ryan (Kilcock), Ronnie (Dublin), Donal (Galway) and David (Taughmaconnell). Sadly missed by her loving daughter, sons, brothers Des (France), Noel (Ballina), sister Valerie Munnelly (Ardagh), in-laws, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.

Reposing at McGowan's Funeral Home, Ballina on Friday evening from 5 until 6:30 p.m. Funeral will arrive to St. Muredach’s Cathedral, Ballina on Saturday Morning for Requiem Mass at 11:30 a.m. followed by burial in Leigue Cemetery, Ballina.

PHIL GILLESPIE, NEWPORT

Phil Gillespie (née Quinn) Glenhest, Newport, peacefully at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin. Formerly of Sheeaune, Burren, Castlebar.

Predeceased by her beloved husband P.J., grandaughter Niamh, parents John and Maria Quinn, sisters Kathleen, Maria, Lily, Anne, Josie and brother Pat. Deeply missed and forever remembered by her heartbroken family, daughters Carmel Gillespie-O’Malley (Islandeady), Josephine Davison (Australia), Bernadette Costello (Galway), Martina Mulligan (Turlough), sons Patrick (Glenhest) and James (Westport) her sister Bridie Heneghan (Castlebar) and sister-in-law Sheila Quinn. Grandchildren Amy, Aoife, Daniel, James, Annie and Ella, in-laws Owen, Gabriel, Mark, John and Teresa, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Mam will repose at Coady’s Funeral Home, Castlebar on Friday from 4 to 6.pm with removal to St Joseph’s Church, Glenhest, Requiem Mass at 12 noon on Saturday with burial afterwards at Annagh Cemetery.

NOREEN MURPHY, BALLYGLASS

Noreen Murphy (née Gilligan), (of Clontarf, Dublin 3, formerly Ballyglass, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Predeceased by her beloved husband Michael, daughter Carmel and grandson Paul; deeply regretted by her daughters Mary and Lily, sons Gerry, Martin, Mick, Dermot and Anthony, grandchildren, in-laws, relatives, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at her home on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. Removal on Saturday morning to St Anthony's Church, Clontarf, arriving for 11 a.m. Mass. Burial afterwards in Fingal Cemetery.

LIAM PHILLIPS, FOXFORD

Liam Phillips, of Callow, Foxford, and formerly of Kent and London in the United Kingdom. He passed away peacefully in the Sonas Riverview Nursing Home, Ballina, on New Year's Eve.

Liam will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by his wife, Pauline, his children Siobhán, William, Ciarán and Conor, and his sister Emma.

Before his death, Liam kindly arranged for his body to be donated to medical education and research, and in accordance with his wishes his remains have been removed to the NUIG School of Anatomy, that even after death he may help others.

Mass in his honour will be celebrated at 12 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, in St. Michael's Church, Foxford.
