Popular Mayo high street business is closing its doors

A popular Mayo high street store is closing down, The Connaught Telegraph has learned.

EuroGiant Express, Main Street, Castlebar, will cease trading from 6 p.m. tomorrow.

The decision will result in the loss of seven jobs at the discount store.

The news also comes as a major blow to its loyal customers.

However, there are hopes that the outlet may reopen in the county town in the near future if it can identify and secure a suitable alternative premises.

There have been reports that EuroGiant Express has been on the look-out for some time for a larger town centre building in Castlebar in which to trade.
