Mayo pharmacy thankful of support since "unfortunate accident"
The proprietors of O'Donnell's Pharmacy in Charlestown have thanked everybody for their support since a truck crashed into the front of their premises in the town after skidding on black ice before Christmas.
Ian and Nuala Johnson have extended gratitude to all those who sent well wishes after the unfortunate accident that occurred.
They stated: "The outpouring of support locally from our family, friends, neighbours, the amazing community in Charlestown, along with national and international messages of compassion was really overwhelming.
"We cannot express enough how grateful we are to all who helped in the aftermath of the crash, the Fire Brigade, An Garda Síochána, Noel Dunleavy and his team at Dunleavy Building Services, Lukie Doherty (Legend), Paul Morahan (electrician), Paul Henry (structural engineer), Shaw's Heavy Recovery of Castlebar, Mayo County Council, all who sent food and, of course, our loyal staff.
"Access, until further notice, will be from the side door, on the Ballyhaunis Road. Mind the step on entering.
"We can provide prescriptions, over the counter medicines and other essentials only, as access to the main front of shop is completely blocked off."
